ESMT internationally accredited
Fourth intake of MBA students begin program in Berlin
ESMT European School of Management and Technology has been accredited by the international Association of MBAs (AMBA) for its Full-time and Executive MBA programs for the maximum period of five years. AMBA has accredited business schools in 67 countries. The assessment is based on the curriculum of the MBA program as well as the quality of ESMT’s faculty. ESMT Dean Wulff Plinke said, “We are pleased to have received this strong international accreditation in the shortest possible time frame, three years.”
ESMT also welcomes the 26 participants of the fourth intake of its Full-time MBA program 2009 in Berlin. “We are delighted to have such a diverse and highly qualified group of young managers at ESMT,” said Francis Bidault, Director of the MBA program. “The global financial crisis made this year’s recruitment especially challenging.”
In 2008 ESMT launched the ESMT MBA Fellowship program in collaboration with two of ESMT’s sponsoring companies, Allianz SE and Siemens AG. The program offers qualified students the full coverage of their tuition and fees and includes an internship of six months at one of the companies after the MBA program. Three members of the Class of 2009 received fellowships.
The diverse class is made up of 18 men and 8 women, who are on average 30 years old. The percentage of females in the class has grown and now totals 30 percent. The students have an average of six years’ work experience and are from 15 different countries and four continents.
Summarizing her decision to attend ESMT, the 33-year-old Russian student Natalia Nazarova said, “ESMT connects quality research and the support of some of Germany’s most successful companies.”
