Andreas Bernhardt
Program Director and Executive Coach, ESMT Customized Solutions
Andreas Bernhardt is a program director, executive coach and founding member of ESMT’s Center for Leadership Development Research and manages ESMT’s pool of executive coaches. He has about 20 years of practical leadership development and coaching experience, has been working as a leadership coach for ESMT, for the INSEAD Global Leadership Center in Fontainebleau, France and beyond and has designed and delivered executive programs for several international companies.
He is a co-designer and convenor of ESMT’s yearly Coaching Colloquium and a contributor to the World Economic Forum’s 2010 Corporate Gender Gap Report. His current consulting and research interests focus on leadership development, executive coaching, and leading and coaching teams in tough times.
He teaches and coaches in the areas of Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Coaching and Change in MBA, Executive MBA, open enrollment, and company specific executive programs. His executive education portfolio includes programs for Allianz, Munich RE, Deutsche Bank, Postbank, Lovells, Lucent Technologies, SAP, Deutsche Telekom, RWE, BSH Bosch and Siemens, Elster Group, Kaspersky, B. Braun, GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi-Aventis, WestPharma, Mundipharma, Axel Springer, McDonald's, BAT, METRO and Hugo Boss and participants from more than 30 countries.
Andreas consults globally operating companies on issues of executive coaching, leadership development, and leading teams in tough times. He also regularly coaches executives on leadership and career issues.
Andreas studied Clinical and Organizational Psychology, Management and Organizational Behavior, holds a Masters degree in Psychology, and is an alumnus of INSEAD‘s long-term executive program „Consulting and Coaching for Change“ directed by INSEAD Professor Manfred Kets de Vries.
Additionally, Andreas has held the position of Head of Leadership and Human Resource Management Programs for USW Schloss Gracht and prior to this worked for several years in the Banking Industry as well as for the German State Police Forces.
