Western Management Styles

How to achieve synergy

Many Russian corporations are not only extremely successful at home but also throughout the world. While other national economies have lagged behind for many years, Russian markets have boomed: The country's firms are becoming highly desirable places to work, and foreign markets are becoming an important target for investment. As Russian senior managers encounter superiors or subordinates at home and abroad, however, they discover considerable differences in leadership styles.

This is particularly evident between those of Russian managers and their Western counterparts. This oneday program explores the nature of these different leadership styles. Participants will learn how Russian managers and HR professionals can become more effective leaders, and how they can enable effective leadership in an increasingly international environment.

Delivered in Russian, high-level Russian-speaking ESMT professors are joined by senior Russian managers and HR professionals. Together, they will share their experiences in dealing with the challenges of diverse leadership cultures in a multinational setting.

Target Audience

The primary target audience is the executive in a multinational or Russian company expanding abroad. You work closely with either expatriate subordinates or expatriate superiors. The program is also ideal for HR professionals from companies that are either active abroad or that work in Russia with expatriates.
