Information Center
Since 2005, ESMT has been building up its Information Center (IC). It's purpose is to ensure that ESMT participants, faculty and staff have easy access to reliable and relevant business and management information and literature to support their learning, teaching and research activities. This is achieved by offering access to electronic resources throughout campus and through a number of information services.
As ESMT grows, the IC focuses on building an extensive collection of materials to support its educational and research activities. The IC online catalogue gives an overview of the available resources. The IC makes available for its patrons a number of research databases (such as Amadeus, Business Source Premier, JSTOR), e-libraries and a selection of other relevant web resources and reference links, which ensures that academic articles and research data are only a couple of clicks away. It also gives access to a vast number of print and electronic periodicals (e.g. Harvard Business Review, The Economist, Financial Times).
ESMT patrons have the advantage of innovative research possibilities combined with the support of a professional and committed team, who are working constantly to further expand and improve the information resources and services available to them. Apart from maintaining licenses and subscriptions, the IC also provides inter-library loan and document delivery services and offers training for users on specific databases or on how best to perform research to find relevant literature, write theses or prepare for courses.
The Information Center (IC) maintains both an online Information Center (accessible internally by members of the ESMT community), and the Library and Information Center (LIC) on the ESMT campus, as well as a small collection on the ESMT Campus in Cologne.
