Kristian Ove R. Myrseth

Kristian Ove R. Myrseth joined ESMT European School of Management and Technology as Assistant Professor in September 2009. He received his PhD in Managerial and Organizational Behavior from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2009 and his AB in Economics from Harvard University in 2004.
Kristian specializes in the psychology of decision making and judgment. Although his interests are widespread, his primary line of research concerns the basic psychology of self-control.
In particular, he is interested in the question of when and how individuals exercise self-control. He is also interested in the more general antecedents and consequences of self-control. Kristian’s methodology is both theoretical and empirical. His empirical work draws heavily on laboratory and field experiments.
Kristian teaches Judgment and Decision Making, a full-time MBA course.
