Research seminars

Research is a fundamental part of scholarly activities in any research university. By bringing our Faculty together with scholars working in closely allied fields and providing a formal structure for their interaction, these seminars further the individual research goals of each participant.

Faculty research seminar (FRS)

The FRS series gives faculty members from ESMT and other international institutions a forum for academic exchange. FRS invites participants in all fields and areas to contribute to the continuing professional development of the faculty. ESMT faculty (internal) and guest speakers (external) present their research findings on a weekly basis, usually on Mondays from 12:00-13:30.

Brown bag seminars (BBS)

Brown bag seminars are an informal venue for both ESMT and external faculty to present their research. A BBS is meant to be a flexible, ad hoc series to accommodate speakers from various areas such as co-authors.

Berlin Behavioral Economics Seminar Series

The Berlin Behavioral Economics Seminar Series is a joint effort between DIW, ESMT, WZB, and TU Berlin with the aim of fostering the exchange between active researchers in the areas of behavioral and experimental economics.

Berlin Finance Seminar Series

The Berlin Finance Seminar Series is a joint effort between ESMT and Humboldt University with the aim of fostering the exchange between active researchers in the areas of finance. The seminars are typically held on a Thursday from 14:15-15:45.
