- Best Teacher Award:
The ESMT 2008-10 Executive MBA graduating class awarded Konstantin Korotov their Best Teacher Award. This is the second time in a row that ESMT's Executive MBA students have honored a professor from the CLDR with such this award.
- A Rarely Conferred Award:
The Board of the International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organizations has unanimously voted to make Manfred F.R. Kets de Vries, ESMT's Distinguished Professor of Leadership Development, a Distinguished Member of the Society. This is a rarely conferred award, only given so far to three members: Harry Levinson, Harold Bridger and Gordon Lawrence.
The status of Distinguished Member is awarded to a member:
- whose work has had a significant and lasting impact on the field;
- Whose work has been recognized in the wider arena of work with organizations(impact beyond those organizations and journals typically associated with the psychoanalytic study of organizations);
- who has clearly displayed intellectual leadership in the field; and
- who has acted as an influential teacher and mentor to others.
- The Thinkers 2009 Top 50 Ranking
Manfred Kets de Vries was named as one of the world's top 50 business thinkers in The Times 2009 report.
- Emerald Literati Network 2009 Outstanding Paper Award

- International Leadership Association honours Manfred Kets de Vries (Nov 2008)
Manfred Kets de Vries was presented with the International Leadership Association Lifetime Achievement Award in Los Angeles, California, November 12–15, during the ILA annual conference.
This very prestigious organization was for the first time, honoring "founding professionals in the development of leadership as a field and as a discipline." Manfred was inducted with Bernard Bass & Joseph Rost (posthumously), Warren Bennis, James MacGregor Burns, and Frances Hesselbein—a truly stellar group of leadership pioneers.
