Zoltán Antal-Mokos is Associate Professor of Strategy. Before joining ESMT, he held the McKinsey & Co. Chair in Strategy, and he was the Director of the School of Management at Budapest University of Economic Sciences and Public Administration. He has also been a visiting professor in France, and has twenty years of consulting experience. Ph.D., London Business School, University of London.

Guillermo Baquero was appointed to ESMT's Full-time faculty in January 2008. Previously he joined ESMT in September 2007 part-time as an affiliate scholar. Guillermo’s research has focused on the persistence of hedge funds and mutual funds, the behavior of hedge fund investors, behavioral finance and experimental economics.

Andreas Bernhardt is Program Director at ESMT Customized Solutions and has over 15 years of practical leadership development and coaching experience. He has designed and delivered executive programs for GlaxoSmithKline, B. Braun, BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte, Metro, Kaufhof, and Hugo Boss, and taught sessions on MBA, young managers, and executive level education.

Francis Bidault is Professor of Innovation Management and Strategy, and Director of the Full-time MBA program. Before joining ESMT, he was Professor and Director of the MBA program at IMD, Co-Director of Theseus Institute in France and Dean of the MBA there. Niels Billou is Assistant Professor at ESMT. Before joining ESMT, he taught executives, MBA participants and undergraduates at the Ivey Business School in Canada, as well as at London Business School. Ph.D., London Business School, University of London.

Christoph Burger is the Head of the Practice Groups Telecom, Transport, Utilities and General Management at ESMT Customized Solutions. Before that he was a Senior Manager at Arthur D. Little and Vice President of Bertelsmann Buch AG.

Francis de Véricourt is Full Professor as well as the first Associate Dean of R&D, playing an integral part in guiding the direction of ESMT’s research activities. His research interests broadly lie in developing advanced analytical methods to help make better managerial decisions.

Michał Grajek joined the ESMT faculty as Assistant Professor in January 2007. Previously he worked as a Research Fellow in the “Competitiveness and Industrial Change” unit of the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB). He has also conducted research in the Humboldt-University based project sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research titled “Internet Economy”. Dr. rer. pol. Jörg Rocholl is Associate Professor at ESMT. He holds both his Ph.D. in Finance and Economics and his MPhil from Columbia Business School. Jörg’s research interests are in the areas of Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, and Financial Intermediation.

Lars-Hendrik Röller is President of ESMT. Before joining ESMT, he was the first Chief Competition Economist of the European Commission. Lars-Hendrik Röller was a professor at INSEAD from 1987 to 1999. In 1994 he became the Director of the “Competitiveness and Industrial Change” unit at the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin (WZB), Europe’s largest social science research center. In 1995 he was appointed Professor for Industrial Economics at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. His areas of expertise include competition, strategy and regulation. Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania.

Ulf Schäfer is Program Director at ESMT Customized Solutions. He was a tutor of philosophy and logic for many years and after graduation lectured game theory and decision theory at the University of Bonn. Later he worked as a strategy consultant for A.T. Kearney and co-founded the strategy consulting firm The Launch Group (TLG).

Erik H. Schlie is Assistant Professor of Marketing and a member of ESMT's founding faculty. His areas of interest include the interfaces between marketing, strategy and innovation. Erik is also the Program Director of the 2007/08 Executive Transition Program (ETP). His previous professional life includes more than ten years of international experience in business schools and industry. Ph.D., Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.

Simon Wakeman is Assistant Professor at ESMT. His research interests lie at the intersection of economics, firm strategy, technological innovation, and law. He seeks to apply rigorous theoretical and empirical analysis to important issues in firm strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and ultimately to develop decision frameworks for managers and business lawyers.

Luc Wathieu is Full Professor and Associate Dean of Faculty. His field of specialization is marketing, with emphasis in customer behavior and marketing strategy. His research combines mathematical models, experiments, and case studies, and covers topics such as pricing, differentiation, interactive marketing, adaptive behavior, consumer empowerment.
