Master's Thesis
The background: the practice project
The practice project is also the background of the master's thesis, which participants write and defend in front of ESMT faculty. The master's thesis is an individual piece of research on a topic approved by faculty and linked to the practice project. This assignment is an opportunity for participants to explore an area of management in depth.
The supervision
The supervision of the master's thesis is provided by an ESMT faculty member. The Project Coach assigned to a team of MBA participants working on a practice project will assign a topic to each of the team members. Each participant will have to prepare a thesis to be submitted to the Project Coach in the week preceding the field project. The thesis is an individual assignment resulting from the participant’s personal research, their contribution to the practice project as well as their original discussion of the topic given by the Project Coach.
The aim: to give proof of your analytical abilities
The master's thesis aims to develop and test one’s ability to review an area of management studies, to synthesize the main theories and models, and to discuss their applicability.
