Rajshri Jayaraman
Associate Professor
Rajshri (Raji) Jayaraman joined ESMT in June 2007 as an assistant professor and works in the area of European competitiveness. In January 2011 she was promoted to an associate professor. Previously Raji was an assistant professor, as well as an academic coordinator, at the Center for Economic Studies (CES) at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
Raji received her PhD in Economics from Cornell University. She has an M.A. degree in International and Development Economics from Yale University and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University with joint honors in Economics and Finance.
Raji’s fields of interest are development economics and empirical industrial organization. Using matched employer employee data, her research in industrial organization examines the effect of information technologies, innovative business practices and managerial incentives on firm and worker performance. Her research in development economics has focused on policy issues related to poverty and primary school education.
