Luis Huete
ESMT Visiting Faculty
Luis Huete is professor at IESE Business School since 1982. He has taught in the Achieving Breakthrough Service and the Advance Management programs at Harvard Business School (Boston). He has also lectured as visiting professor at Thunderbird (Genève), ESMT (Berlin), ISEM Fashion Business School (Madrid) and other business Schools around the globe.
Prof. Huete is the author of nine books and seven CD-ROMs, and is a renowned speaker at conferences and industry gatherings. He was a Fulbright Scholar and winner of the Decision Science Institute Award for best dissertation of the year (1988).
The journal Actualidad Económica rewarded him three times in the category of 100 best business ideas of the year. The Spanish publication Who's who in Spanish Management described him as one of the most influential figureheads of the Spanish management sector. This was confirmed by the Institute for International Research (IIR), which reported that three out of every four businessmen considered him to be the "best Spanish management thinker."
Prof. Huete has delivered speeches and conducted consulting work and top management facilitation for more than 500 companies in more than 50 countries. The list of companies includes Bupa, IBM, Oracle, McDonalds, ISS, BBVA, Carrefour, Deloitte, Financial Times, FNAC, Hewlett Packard, Movistar, Opel, Santander, Lilly, Telefónica, Vodafone, Zurich, and others.
Luis has worked with CEOs in defining organizational structures and strategic plans for companies such as Banco Santander, IBM, Oracle, McDonalds, ISS (Denmark), Adecco, Intercom Group Telefonica Internacional, Telesp (Brazil), Movistar (Argentina, Chile and Central america), Opel, Iberostar, Grupo Pascual, Campofrio, USG People (Netherlands), Lilly, Vodafone, Six Senses (Thailand), Banesto and Larrain-Vial (Chile), among others.
He serves on the boards of: Six-Senses Resorts & Spa (Thailand), ALTIA CONSULTORES (Spain), Corporación Financiera ARCO (Spain) and the Modern Art Foundation NMAC (Spain). He is also an associate and member of the Global Advisory Board of Oxford Leadership Academy (UK).
Luis lives in Madrid with his wife Maria and their four children.
