Sandra Vandermerwe
ESMT Visiting Faculty
Sandra Vandemerwe is a member of EMTS's visiting faculty and is the chair of international marketing and services in the Tanaka Business School at Imperial College in London. Prior to joining the Tanaka Business School Sandra Vandermerwe spent a decade as a professor of marketing and international services at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Switzerland. Sandra is a leading international expert on the subject of corporate transformation to achieve customer-focused growth in service businesses and has been teaching numerous senior executive programs at LBS, Manchester Business School, INSEAD, and Templeton College of Oxford University. A prolific writer whose work is based on ongoing, application driven research and collaboration with leading thinkers and practitioners, Professor Vandermerwe has written many books and published in numerous academic journals and is on the editorial boards of several European journals.
Professor Vandermerwe is a Fellow of the RSA - Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, and listed in the Who's Who and International Who's Who of Intellectuals. She is on the main board of International Health Insurance, a fast growing global Danish service provider operating in 180 countries. She lives in London.
