At ESMT Competition Analysis Nicola has worked on several cartel and merger cases of national (Germany and the UK), European, and international geographic scope, often contributing sophisticated econometric analyses of market-definition and anticompetitive-effects issues. He also worked on a study in which the consequences that pricing and reimbursement regulation may have on pharmaceutical innovation are evaluated in the context of a calibrated decision-theoretic model of drug development. Besides pharmaceuticals, the industries in which he has built up thorough knowledge include cement, chemicals, freight forwarding, groceries, and investment goods.
A native Italian, Nicola is an alumnus of Università Bocconi and a recipient of the Marco Fanno Scholarship.
