Jörg Rocholl receives European Finance Association prize

The European Finance Association (EFA) presented Jörg Rocholl, president of ESMT European School of Management and Technology, the SAC Capital Advisors L.P. Best Conference Paper Award at its annual meeting held in Copenhagen on August 15-18, 2012. The paper “Flight to Where? Evidence from Bank Investments During the Financial Crisis” was co-authored by Thomas Hildebrand, E.CA Economics in Berlin, and Alexander Schulz, Deutsche Bundesbank. The prize is the highest distinction of the conference. A committee consisting of six professors from Ohio State University, University of Oklahoma, Goethe University, and Copenhagen Business School made the selection.
EFA was created in 1974 with backing by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and in close cooperation with the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM). It aims to provide a professional society for academics and practitioners with an interest in financial management, financial theory, and its application. The association's annual meetings provide the opportunity to present research in the fields of company finance, investment, financial markets, money, and banking.
