ESMT reconfirmed its place in the Financial Times MBA ranking in 2018. This ranking is among the most competitive and prestigious in the world. The largest part of the ranking is based on a survey from alumni graduating three years previously. Alumni answer questions about their career growth and satisfaction with their MBA results in their careers. The largest part of the ranking is based on the salaries and salary growth of alumni answering the survey.

The Economist Which MBA? ranks the world's full-time MBA programs. This ranking places a lot of value on students' reported satisfaction with a wide range of program indicators, such as classroom experience, faculty quality, classmate quality, and facilities. Current students and the three previous MBA classes are surveyed.

MBA - Beyond Grey Pinstripes (#4 in Europe)

Beyond Grey Pinstripes is an MBA ranking conducted by the prestigious Aspen Institute. Ranking is based on the business schools’ MBA curriculum, specifically how themes of responsible leadership, sustainable business practices, long-term planning, and social responsibility were integrated into the program. ESMT’s mission is similar to this ranking’s criteria in many ways.

EMBA - Financial Times (#1 for Career Progress)

ESMT entered the FT EMBA ranking in 2012, and is currently ranked 31st in the world. The Financial Times ranking places emphasis on alumni salaries three years after graduation and the percentage in salary growth compared to before the MBA. About half of the ranking uses indicators for career progress, program satisfaction, faculty research, and diversity.

#31 globally: ESMT's EMBA program is #11 in Europe amongst stand-alone programs.

#1 for Career Progress for six years in a row: This category in the FT EMBA ranking measures how a graduate's current responsibility has grown three years after graduation compared to his or her role before the EMBA program. The growth is weighted for company size. ESMT is proud that its EMBA graduates show top career growth in the world consistantly for multiple years.

The Economist places ESMT's Executive MBA program among the top 10 worldwide. In its bi-annual ranking, the Economist evaluates all EMBA programs on educational experience and personal development as well as career progression. The methodology includes more quantitative measures, such as details of students and faculty, the number of overseas assignments required and reports on alumni and their current salaries.

In 2015, the Economist ranked ESMT's Executive MBA program as:

The FT business school ranking assesses MBA, EMBA, Master's in Management, and executive education programs. The FT aggregates results in their four rankings into a European Business School Ranking, where each individual program counts for 25% of the final ranking.
