Michał Grajek is an associate professor of economics (with tenure). His research interests lie in the areas of Applied Econometrics, Industrial Organization, and Competition Policy. His most recent work has focused on network effects, compatibility, and standardization in the Information and Communication Technologies. He has also studied investment and regulation issues in network industries and standardization in international trade.
Michal joined the ESMT faculty in January 2007 as an assistant professor. Previously he worked as a research fellow at the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB) and the Humboldt University of Berlin. He received his doctorate degree in economics with honors (summa cum laude) from the Humboldt University of Berlin in 2004.
Since 2007, he has acted as a research consultant for E.CA Economics in Berlin, providing expertise in applied econometrics for consulting and research projects dealing with competition policy issues.
Michal teaches MBA and EMBA courses on Microeconomics and Competition Policy.
