Tanja is a researcher at the Digital Society Institute of ESMT, Berlin. She is currently working on a research project focusing on digital platforms and their role in different sectors such as health care and mobility as well as on cross-cutting issues such as data protection and interoperability. Tanjas areas of expertise are Public Law with a focus on European and International Law.
Prior to joining ESMT, Tanja was a trainee in the judicial service of Lower Saxony. While pursuing her legal education, she worked for the German Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, where she focused on International Criminal Law, and spent a semester at the German University of Administrative Sciences of Speyer, where she deepened her knowledge in European- and International Law. She also worked as a lecturer in German Constitutional Law at the Administrative Study Institute of Lower Saxony (NSI).
Tanja studied law at the University of Trier, the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität of Münster and Université René Descartes in Paris.
