Accreditations

ESMT is currently one of only two business schools in Germany to hold the “Triple Crown,” made up of successful accreditations of the world’s leading business education accrediting bodies AACSB, AMBA (Association of MBAs), and EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System). The “Triple Crown” is the highest distinction of quality for business schools worldwide.

ESMT Berlin has received accreditation from EQUIS in 2015 (EFMD Quality Improvement System, Belgium), AACSB in 2012 (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, USA), AMBA in 2009 (Association of MBAs, UK), and FIBAA in 2006 (Foundation for International Business Accreditation Administration). These accreditations highlight the quality of the school's faculty, teaching, and research and ensure that ESMT meets the same high standards of education as all of the world's leading business schools. Only nine schools in Germany have been awarded the AACSB accreditation since AACSB’s founding in 1916. In 2013 ESMT was awarded the right to grant PhDs by the German Council of Science and Humanities (Wissenschaftsrat).
